Antonio Senzatela annihilated in loss to CubsJune 12, 2019 | 03:33 PM

Antonio Senzatela took it on the chin Wednesday, allowing eight hits and eight runs (six earned) over four difficult innings in a loss to the Cubs. He walked four and struck out two over 90 pitches, of which only 49 were strikes. Senzatela felt the full weight of Coors Field's wrath Wednesday in Denver, bleeding eight runs before manager Bud Black mercifully took the ball from him in the fifth inning. Kyle Schwarber got the best of him with a three-run shot in the second inning, getting every bit of the right-hander's one-out offering. Wednesday's train wreck raised Senzatela's season ERA from 4.95 to an even uglier 5.48. He'll try to lower that number next time out against the Diamondbacks Tuesday at Arizona. Wednesday's loss spelled a loss to the Rockies' 10-game home winning streak.
