Eli Morgan allowed two runs while striking out nine over six frames Monday as the Indians emerged victorious 5-2 in extra innings versus the Blue Jays. Analysis: The six innings were a career-high for Morgan and the nine strikeouts tied a career high. Unfortunately, he was hurt by the long ball again, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting a laser into the seats for a two-run shot in the sixth inning. Morgan has now given up at least one dinger in each of his eight starts and a total of 12 in just 37 1/3 innings. Still, all told it was the best start of the youngster's career. He'll try to build upon it this weekend against the Tigers.
