Gonzalez turned the ankle while attempting to field a comebacker off the bat of Yasiel Puig in the bottom of the second inning. He stayed in the game for one more pitch, but manager Craig Counsell pulled him after he uncorked a high-and-outside ball to Austin Barnes. Freddy Peralta took over for Milwaukee.
