Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward went 1-for-4 with a solo homer on Thursday against the Giants. Writer's Analysis: Heyward barreled up a fastball and sent it 373 feet with a 107.8 mph exit velocity for his fifth homer of 2017. The resurgent Cubbie has hit safely in all five of his games since being reactivated on May 21 -- including two homers in his last three games. While he still has some work to do, the 27-year-old's 89.1 mph average exit velocity is up over two ticks from 2016 as he continues to claw his way back toward mixed-league viability.
