Iwakuma became a free agent earlier this month after the Mariners declined his $10 million option for 2018. The veteran right-hander says that a return is "not a done deal," but "hopefully I will be able to make a positive announcement soon." Iwakuma, 36, was limited to just six starts this season due to shoulder issues and required an arthroscopic debridement in September. He's hoping to be ready around the start of next season.
