Jon Heyman of Fancred reports that the Reds are among the teams pursuing free agent outfielder A. J. Pollock.December 06, 2018 | 10:21 AM
That'd be a pretty nice way to fill the center field vacancy left by last week's non-tendering of Billy Hamilton. Pollock posted an .800 OPS with 21 home runs and 13 stolen bases over 113 games with the Diamondbacks in 2018, and he's still a strong defender at age 31. Pollock is reportedly seeking something close to the five-year, $80 million free agent contract that Lorenzo Cain signed last winter with the Brewers. The Mets are also known to have serious interest.
