No word yet on the terms involved. If signed, Descalso would provide some balance and versatility to the Cubs' roster, so he's a good fit for manager Joe Maddon. The 32-year-old has been much-improved with the bat in recent seasons. He batted .238/.353/.436 with 13 homers over 138 games with the Diamondbacks in 2018.
