Middleton (elbow) sharp in rehab outingAugust 13, 2019 | 09:32 PM
Keynan Middleton (elbow) worked a scoreless inning in a rehab appearance Tuesday night with High-A Inland Empire.
Middleton struck out two of the three batters he faced, needing just 13 pitches -- nine of which were strikes -- to get through the clean frame. His fastball sat 94-96 mph. It was the second outing for Middleton since he got pulled off a rehab assignment in mid-July due to a nerve issue in his surgically-repaired right elbow. He could be a high-leverage option for the Angels before the end of August.
