The Red Sox are considering Mets bench coach Hensley Meulens as a potential candidate to replace Alex Cora as manager. Analysis: Meulens served as the hitting coach for the Giants as they won three World Series titles in the past decade. He was hired by the Mets to join Carlos Beltran's staff as bench coach last month. Meulens is considered a candidate to replace Beltran with the Mets as well. Both Cora and Beltran lost their jobs due to the recent sign-stealing scandal.
