Kendrick Nunn drops 23 points in season finaleAugust 14, 2020 | 08:53 PM

Kendrick Nunn led the Heat in scoring in Friday's seeding game finale, producing 23 points (8-27 FG, 1-9 3PT, 6-6 FT) to go along with four assists, two rebounds, three steals, one block and five turnovers in a 109-92 loss to the Pacers. Writer's Analysis: Despite pacing the Heat with 23 points, Nunn struggled from the field, attempting a career-high 27 shots and only sinking nine. Nunn forced shots to find a rhythm but achieved more success taking it to the rim and drawing fouls to get to the free-throw line. His scoring is down in Orlando (10.6 ppg) when compared to pre-COVID (15.2), so he'll have a short turnaround to find his shot. The Heat face the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs beginning Tuesday. While the rookie won't get this many opportunities regularly, he'll still play an important role for the Heat as they look to bring a title back to Miami. Nunn's rookie campaign ends averaging 15.3 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in 29.3 minutes across 67 games this year.
