The Knicks plan to waive Lance Thomas before the start of free agency, according to Ian Begley of SNY. The Knicks have until June 30th to decide whether they will guarantee $1 million of Thomas' $7.6 million salary. Even though Thomas has plenty of fans within the organization, it's a no-brainer for the Knicks to part ways with the forward. If they would like to bring him back, they will likely be able to sign him for close to the veteran's minimum.
