Carmelo AnthonyPF | Lakers

Knicks president Steve Mills said that he expects Carmelo Anthony to be with the team on Monday for Media Day and Tuesday for the start of training camp.September 22, 2017 | 07:25 AM

Both Melo and the Knicks organization would prefer to part ways, but Anthony has a no-trade clause and the team is not willing to take back an unfavorable contract in any deal. Thus, it appears that Melo will start the season in New York. The persistent rumors may calm down a bit now that training camp is upon us. Anthony averaged 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 3-pointers last season. Expect him to post similar numbers for the Knicks in 2017-18.
