Marcus Morris nixes Spurs deal to sign w/ NYKJuly 11, 2019 | 04:34 PM

Marcus Morris will reportedly sign a one-year, $15 million deal with the Knicks. The Spurs get spurned after Morris decided to nix his initial deal with San Antonio, worth a reported $20 million over two years. He'll get a hefty salary boost in 2019-20 and will hit the free agent market again next summer, with even higher salary caps, so it's a smart financial move for the 29-year-old forward. Kevin Knox, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Bobby Portis, Taj Gibson and Mitchell Robinson are already crowding the Knicks' rotation, though, so this isn't a great spot for Morris' fantasy appeal.
