"This was a casual conversation in which I never indicated I wanted to leave the Vikings," Peterson said. "I have always said I understand the NFL is a business, but that I would love to retire as a Viking." The truth is probably somewhere between Jones' reported words and Peterson's statement. It's a non-issue for as long as Peterson is under contract with the Vikings. AD is signed through 2017, but with no guarantees left in his contract, he'll basically be on a year-to-year contract from here on out.
