Foster not having surgeryFebruary 01, 2013 | 11:22 AM

The Houston Chronicle reports that Texans running back Arian Foster said Friday he doesn't plan to have a heart procedure, which was previously reported by NFL.com. On Thursday, there was a report that Foster is "likely" to undergo a minor heart procedure in about a month. Foster dealt with an irregular heartbeat late in the season and was forced to leave Week 16 against the Vikings. But since the report came out, Texans general manager Rick Smith said Foster didn't need surgery, and Foster himself said the same thing. "I have not nor do I plan, anytime in the near future, to have conversations with my doctors about any surgery," Foster said. "I am feeling well." He then added: "Thank you for all the concern. As of now, I have no complications with my blood pumper. "
