Dennis Cholowski knows his defensive play needs to be better and he's been working towards that end. Cholowski was ultimately sent to the minors last season due to his defensive shortcomings and some of the risks he took backfiring on him. "It's really just being more responsible, having the coach's trust to be able to put me out and know that I'm not going to get scored on, that I can box guys out, that I can kill plays in the D-zone," Cholowski said. "If I can come in and do that, and then let my offensive side take over, I think I'll be OK." He's one of the main players to keep an eye on during the Red Wings' training camp.
