Derick Brassard posted a goal with an assist and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-3 preseason win against the Detroit Red Wings. Brassard posted 14 goals with 23 points across 70 games splitting his time between Pittsburgh, Florida and Colorado last season. Now that he is on the Island he should settle in and be a little more consistent. He is likely ticketed for bottom-six work, so his fantasy ceiling is rather limited, although he could see time on the man advantage which would help out some.
