Jared McCann (lower body) was on the ice for Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: "The fact that he's joining the team, and joining practice in that capacity, I think is just one step closer for him," said coach Mike Sullivan following McCann's participation in a non-contact role. McCann has missed the last five games due to a lower-body injury.
