Kailer Yamamoto undergoes wrist surgeryJune 12, 2019 | 04:16 AM
Kailer Yamamoto underwent surgery for a torn tendon in his wrist.
As previously reported, it's the same wrist that sidelined Yamamoto in December, though apparently it's been bothering him all season. "It was a fluke thing at camp (last fall), he kept playing ... and it got worse," said Oilers GM Keith Gretzky. "He's had time with the big club but missed all that time in the playoffs. He'll have to go down, play hard." Yamamoto had a goal and an assist in 17 games when he played with Edmonton this season, but he averaged just 13:04 minutes.
