Bjorkstrand sustained an injury in Denmark's Olympic qualifying game versus Great Britain on Thursday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports. Bjorkstrand's injury is not considered serious, but it's worth monitoring to see if he'll participate early in training camp with the Kraken. The winger had a career year in 2023-24 with 20 goals, 59 points and 186 shots on goal over 82 appearances. Bjorkstrand is slated to fill a third-line role again in 2024-25, though he should also receive plenty of power-play time after earning 25 of his points with the man advantage last year.
