Montgomery praises play of Jason DickinsonApril 21, 2019 | 07:24 AM

Coach Jim Montgomery believes Jason Dickinson's deep run in the Calder Cup Playoffs last year prepared the 23-year-old forward for this postseason. "They relish these games now. They know how to execute," Montgomery said referring to Roope Hintz as well. "You see them have poise with chips in the d-zone and everything. It's fun to watch those young players blossom." Dickinson scored the first two playoff goals of his career in Game 5 against Nashville to help the Stars post a 5-3 win and earn a 3-2 series lead. Dickinson was a bottom-six forward for most of the season, but has been elevated to a top-six role in the playoffs. He is currently playing with Hintz and Mats Zuccarello on the second line.
