Buffalo may not be considering a buyout for Vladimir Sobotka, but it could be something worth talking about. Sobotka is owed $3.5 million for 2019-20 after he struggled in his first season with the Sabres. He posted just five goals, eight assists, 71 shots and a minus-20 rating in 69 appearances last year. If the Sabres decided to part ways with Sobotka it would cut his cap hit to $1.5 million for next season and give him the club a $1 million hit for 2020-21.
