Roenis Elias pitched a scoreless ninth inning Sunday against the Athletics to earn his seventh save of the season. Elias was staked to a three-run lead and worked around a leadoff error to close out the A's, inducing a pair of ground balls -- including a game-ending double play. The save was his seventh in eight chances this year. The southpaw owns a 3.94 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 32 strikeouts in 32 innings of work to date. With two saves in four days, it seems as though Elias has earned some more opportunities after falling out of favor last month.
