Rangers' Willie Calhoun: September return possibleJuly 22, 2021 | 05:39 AM
Texas general manager John Daniels said Calhoun (forearm) could return for September. Calhoun underwent surgery to repair a fractured forearm June 29 after he was hit by a pitch a few days prior. He had been the Rangers' primary designated hitter at the time of the injury, and that position has been filled by a rotation of players since. David Dahl (against righties) and Andy Ibanez (against lefties) are the players of choice when manager Chris Woodward isn't giving a regular in the field a break.
