Red Sox signed OF Adam Duvall to a one-year, $7 million contract. Analysis: The 34-year-old slugger had a miserable 2022 season -- slashing just .213/.276/.401 in 96 games with the Braves before undergoing surgery to repair a torn tendon sheath in his left wrist. When healthy though, he has proven to be one of the better right-handed power hitters in the league and he should benefit from playing his home games at Fenway Park. Matt Barnes was designated for assignment to make room on the club's 40-man roster.
