Darnell NurseD | Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers have announced that they have officially extended qualifying offers to Darnell Nurse, Ryan Strome and Anton Slepyshev.June 23, 2018 | 02:09 PM

Nurse played a full 82-game season for the first time in his career, picking up six goals and 26 points while averaging 22:15 of ice time per game. He is the only one of the three players who does not have the right to arbitration, leaving him with the least amount of leverage. The 23-year-old is probably looking at a bridge deal that he could parlay into something much bigger in two or three years time. It's worth noting that the Oilers currently have the sixth least amount of cap space in the league at just over $10.9 million.
