According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the representatives for Michael Brantley are telling clubs that he is willing to play first base.December 06, 2018 | 11:51 AM
Rosenthal notes that no team is looking at Brantley as a full-time first baseman, "but those interested in him are aware of his versatility." Brantley has only played the outfield and DH during his 10-year major league career, but he did log 52 starts at first base in the minors between 2007-2008. The 31-year-old is one of the more interesting free agent cases on the market this winter because of his checkered injury history. He's been very productive when healthy.
