Brendan McKay has thoracic outlet syndrome surgeryNovember 24, 2021 | 04:16 PM

Brendan McKay underwent thoracic outlet syndrome decompression surgery on Tuesday and is expected to resume throwing by the outset of spring training. Analysis: McKay was limited to just seven minor-league appearances during the 2021 campaign due to persistent shoulder and elbow issues and is now expected to be sidelined from beginning a throwing program until at least early February. The 25-year-old left-hander was one of the most exciting prospects in baseball just a few seasons ago, but has been derailed by injuries the last few years.
