Nunez got a visit from trainers following back-to-back defensive plays in the bottom of the first inning and he was finally pulled after grimacing while running out a leadoff single in the top of the fourth. Rafael Devers took over on the basepaths and stayed in to man the hot corner for the Red Sox. Nunez has been bothered by leg injuries (ankle, hamstring, knee) for the last several weeks.
