Framber Valdez falls apart in loss to TexasJuly 11, 2019 | 08:56 PM

Framber Valdez was bombed for four hits and four runs in just 2/3 of an inning Thursday in a loss to the Rangers. Valdez couldn't even make it through the first inning in his return to the majors after a brief spell in Triple-A. The Rangers ambushed the left-hander, batting around in the first while racking up four hits including a two-run double by Rougned Odor. The rookie's command was nonexistent as the left-hander walked three while throwing just 12 of his 28 pitches for strikes. Valdez has now lost each of his last three outings, compiling a ghastly 19.29 ERA during that span. The 25-year-old could very well be headed back to the minors after Thursday's blow-up but if he is called on to make another start, it will likely come Tuesday at Anaheim.
