Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Giants have interviewed A's quality control coach Mark Kotsay for the open managerial job. Kotsay was reported to be a candidate for the opening by Jon Heyman of MLB Network on Friday, and an interview certainly validates that report. Kotsay and Dodgers bench coach Bob Geren appears to be the top out-of-the-organization candidate to take over for Bruce Bochy, with Ron Wotus and Hensley Meulens the internal candidates to replace the long-term skipper.
