A.J. MinterRP | Braves

Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports that A. J. Minter could serve as closer for the Braves in 2019.December 06, 2018 | 03:49 PM

The Braves were known to be interested in A. J. Minter, and have been mentioned as possible suitors for some of the other high-profile closer options available in free agency. It sounds like Atlanta might fill the role internally, with Minter a strong possibility to finish games in 2019. It's not like he doesn't have experience doing it; he was able to save 15 games last year with a 69/22 K/BB ratio over 61 1/3 innings for Atlanta. Arodys Vizcaino is also a possibility, but don't be surprised if it's Minter who operates as the stopper for the Braves in 2019.
