Mets signed LHP Zach Muckenhirn to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Analysis: Muckenhirn has yet to reach the majors and has spent the last six years in the Orioles and White Sox minor league systems. The 27-year-old southpaw finished last season with a respectable 3.11 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 56/23 K/BB ratio across 55 innings (47 appearances) for Triple-A Charlotte. He'll serve as organizational relief depth for the Mets.
