Padres and INF Greg Garcia avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.5 million contract. Analysis: Garcia had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $1.7 million via arbitration. The 30-year-old utility man appeared in 134 games with the Padres in 2019, slashing .248/.364/.354 with four homers and 31 RBI in 372 plate appearances. While he's an asset off the bench for a big league team, Garcia holds no fantasy value whatsoever.
