Covey signed a one-year contract with the Phillies on Friday, avoiding arbitration. Covey was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers this past May and went on to deliver a solid 3.69 ERA across 39 innings of work with Philly. He projects to fill a long-relief role in 2024. Source: CBS Sports
