Jenkins compares Jaren Jackson to GiannisMarch 23, 2020 | 12:00 AM
Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said he sees a lot of similarities to Giannis Antetokounmpo in Jaren Jackson Jr.
Analysis: "I'd like to think his impact could somewhat be at that level as a two-way player," Jenkins said. "He's got the size, the physicality, the mobility, the athleticism. He's got the 'care factor.' I'm going to learn more about his game." Jenkins envisions JJJ as a "power guard," and now that his perimeter shooting and defense is becoming elite the next thing that Jenkins wants to see improvement in is his playmaking off the catch. Still only 20 years old, JJJ was on pace to be the fourth player in NBA history to average 16+ points, 1.5+ blocks and 2.0+ triples along with Kevin Durant, Kristaps Porzingis and DeMarcus Cousins. Jenkins' comments aren't just coach speak either, as Jenkins worked closely with Giannis as an assistant coach in Milwaukee. Source: The Athletic via Rotoworld.com
