Huerter (shoulder) has been ramping up his individual workouts ahead of the regular season, and he said Monday that "The last step for me is really just getting 5-on-5 full-contact," Matt George of ABC 10 Sacramento reports. Huerter is six months out from suffering a dislocation and labral tear to his left shoulder. However, the 26-year-old said during media day that he feels good and expects to be cleared for 5-on-5 action before the beginning of the regular season, if his follow up appointment in mid-October goes well. Huerter appeared in 64 regular-season outings last season, during which he averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 24.4 minutes per game.
