According to Tony Jones of The Athletic, Derrick Favors has elicited "rumblings of interest" from the Los Angeles Lakers. Favors has long expressed his desire to remain with the Jazz, but the pending free agent could have to move on if Utah looks in another direction and does not pick up his option. Favors' option for the 2019-20 season is worth $16.9 million. As for the Lakers, they're in a position where they need to fill out the roster after acquiring Anthony Davis from the Pelicans. Favors would be an attractive option given his proficiency in the pick-and-roll game, either rolling all the way to the basket or popping out for mid-range jumpers.
