Malcolm Brogdon (arm) dealing with ligament tearMay 25, 2023 | 12:59 PM

According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Malcolm Brogdon has been playing through a partial tear of the tendon that leads from his right elbow to his forearm. Analysis: Brogdon had been dealing with soreness in the area for much of the Celtics' second-round series against Philadephia. However, the situation would become worse during Game 1 of the conference finals, when he suffered a partial tendon tear while boxing out Miami's Kevin Love. Brogdon has been able to play through the injury, but it has significantly impacted his ability as a shooter. After shooting 7-of-14 from the field and scoring 19 points in Game 1, he's scored 15 points while going 5-of-20 (1-of-10 3-pointers) in the three games since. Brogdon will continue to play through pain, as he wasn't even listed on the injury report for Game 5, but his effectiveness is worth keeping an eye on.
