The Grizzlies waived Diakite on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The Grizzlies acquired Diakite from the Nets this offseason in exchange for Ziaire Williams, but the former obviously wasn't in Memphis' long-term plans. By releasing Diakite, the Grizzlies get off his $2.2 million contract and open up a 15th roster slot. Source: CBS Sports
