Morey says the plan is to have James Harden backMay 13, 2022 | 12:24 PM

Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey said that he expects Harden to be back on the Sixers next season. Analysis: "The plan is to have him back. That's been the plan since the trade." Morey went on to say, "[o]bviously, we have to work with his representation, and that'll be between us to figure out how that works." Harden simply wasn't aggressive in the postseason, particularly in the Miami series, and he yet again fell short on what was supposed to be a true contender after the blockbuster deal involving Ben Simmons. The Beard is currently set up to make over $47 million in the final year of his contract, so it doesn't seem likely he'll go anywhere, but it's really hard to tell what version of Harden we'll see come October. Plus, he's 32 years old and supposed to be in his prime, but he didn't show that much in the playoffs and the aforementioned lack of aggressiveness was a huge problem. From a fantasy standpoint, he still has first-round upside as always, but we can't quite pinpoint what his ADP could be with all of the other aspects surrounding the situation. We'll surely receive plenty of other news and tidbits this summer, and it's a situation we'll watch closely if needed.
