Patrick Beverley suspended three games for shoveNovember 24, 2022 | 10:40 AM
The NBA has suspended Patrick Beverley for his shove of Deandre Ayton during the fourth quarter of Tuesday's loss to the Suns.
Analysis: Beverley shoved Ayton from behind after the Suns center stood over Lakers guard Austin Reaves, and he was ejected after a video review. This is not the first time Beverley has done this (Chris Paul during the 2021 Western Conference Finals), which factored into Joe Dumars' decision to suspend him for multiple games. The soonest that Beverley can play would be November 30 vs. Portland unless he were to appeal the ruling. With LeBron James (groin) possibly returning on Friday, that would answer the question of who would replace Beverley in the starting lineup.
