Report: Kyrie Irving declines player optionJune 12, 2019 | 09:12 AM
Kyrie Irving has reportedly declined his player option worth $21.3 million for the 2019-20 season, and he will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
This has been the expected move all along, and it wouldn't be shocking to see Irving switch jerseys this summer. He appeared to be disgruntled during his time in Boston and didn't seem to gel with the young core there, so he'll likely be looking for a fresh start. He's rumored to be seriously considering a move to Brooklyn, and there have also been whispers of him potentially being interested in teaming up with LeBron James again in L. A. The Knicks could be another option, but that will likely hinge upon what happens with Anthony Davis.
