Report: NY planned to call up Ignas BrazdeikisMarch 24, 2020 | 12:00 AM
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks were planning to give small forward Ignas Brazdeikis an opportunity to play in New York.
Analysis: In 21 G League games, Brazdeikis averaged 21.0 points while 49.9 percent from the floor and 34.4 percent from downtown. The G League's regular season was to end Friday, at which point Iggy would get called up to the big club. "That was the plan -- join the team, get an opportunity,'' an NBA source told The Post. "The Knicks were happy with his development. He kept a real positive mentality, kept his head down and was excited about the opportunity.'' Unfortunately, we may have to wait until Summer League to get another look at the promising rookie.
