Robert Williams III Dealing With Bone BruiseMay 13, 2022 | 06:15 PM

Boston Celtics center Robert Williams III (knee) was ruled out ahead of Friday's pivotal postseason matchup against Milwaukee. With the big man having surgery in March to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee, rumors began to swirl, especially since he's missed three games in the series. However, head coach Ime Udoka squashed any speculation by reporting Williams is dealing with a bone bruise while adding that "everything is structurally good." Nonetheless, if the series goes to Game 7, there's a chance Williams could be back. Yet, considering how well Boston has played without the 24-year-old, he may not reappear until the Eastern Conference Finals, assuming the Celtics make it that far.
