Woj: Kyrie has list of sign-and-trade optionsJune 23, 2022 | 01:14 PM
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Kyrie Irving has a list of preferred sign-and-trade destinations if he and the Nets are unable to come to terms on a new deal.
Analysis: One day after it was reported that the Nets and Irving were working to find the middle ground in their contract negotiations, he apparently has a list of preferred destinations via sign-and-trade. The Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Heat, Mavericks, and 76ers are among the teams on Irving's list should it come to that, and those are all franchises that would not be able to absorb his contract without making a deal with the Nets. And it should be noted that the reported interest, as of right now, is on Irving's end and not any of those franchises. Philadelphia being on this list is very interesting, given how the partnership with James Harden (who's expected to opt into the final year of his deal, and then sign an extension this offseason) worked out. Dallas may be focused more on re-signing Jalen Brunson, so we'll see if they would have any interest whatsoever in getting involved with Irving.
