Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman respects Ian Mitchell's decision to return to the University of Denver for the 2019-20 campaign. "We would love to have him as a pro right now, but I think he's going to be a pro pretty soon," Bowman said. "So let him focus on his path. He has to believe in what he's doing and it's not for us to try to talk him in and out of things. Wherever he is, we're going to support him." Bowman believes Mitchell's ready to turn pro right now, but he's sure he'll be even better next season. Mitchell had six goals and 27 points in 39 NCAA games last season.
