Hofer will start Tuesday's preseason contest versus the visiting Blue Jackets, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. In two periods of work, Hofer stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 3-0 exhibition loss to Columbus. He supplied a 15-12-1 record with a 2.65 GAA and a .913 save percentage in 30 outings during the 2023-24 regular season. Hofer will serve as Jordan Binnington's backup during the upcoming campaign.
