Carter Verhaeghe loses goal upon coach's challengeSeptember 16, 2020 | 12:00 AM

Carter Verhaeghe scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 double overtime loss to the New York Islanders, but it was taken off the scoreboard following a successful coach's challenge. Analysis: Verhaeghe gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead midway through the second period, but the Islanders challenged and got the goal overturned because Cedric Paquette was offside on the play. Verhaeghe was inserted into the lineup because Brayden Point didn't play. He has two assists in five appearances this postseason.
