Andrew MacDonald has been put on unconditional waivers by Philadelphia for the purpose of terminating his contract. The buyout would carry a $1.167 million cap hit in the 2019-20 season and a $1.917 million cap hit in 2020-21, according to CapFriendly. The first buyout period opened today and the Flyers were the first team to act. MacDonald had nine assists and 95 blocks in 47 appearances with Philadelphia last year.
